Global Art Advisory
Advice on the art market, from inside it.
De Buck advises collectors, family offices, and institutions on acquisition, collection strategy, and sale — grounded in decades of dealing at the top of the market, not in commentary from outside it.

Acquisition & Sourcing
Locating and securing specific works — from other dealers, auctions, and estates — negotiating on your behalf, and managing due diligence, condition review, and provenance research through to delivery.
Collection Strategy
Building a coherent collection rather than an accumulation: defining focus, sequencing acquisitions against the market, and planning around loans, exhibitions, and long-term legacy.
Valuation & Sale Advisory
Market-grounded opinions of value for insurance, estate, and sale decisions — and, when the moment is right to sell, discreet placement through private channels before any public route is considered.
Who We Serve
Private Collectors
First-time buyers to seasoned connoisseurs — advice calibrated to your stage, taste, and appetite.
Family Offices
Art as part of a broader portfolio: valuation discipline, documentation, and succession planning.
Institutions
Acquisition support, deaccession advice, and sourcing for museums and corporate collections.
How We Work
01 — Consultation
A confidential conversation about what you own, what you want, and where the market stands. No obligation.
02 — Brief
We put the objective in writing — the work, the budget, the timeline — and agree on how we are compensated before anything else happens.
03 — Execution
Sourcing, negotiation, due diligence, condition and provenance review, logistics — reported to you at every step.
04 — Stewardship
After the transaction: documentation, insurance valuations, and a standing view on when to hold, lend, or sell.
Independence & Fees
De Buck operates on both sides of the market and says so plainly. When we sell a work from our own inventory, we are the dealer, and that is disclosed. When we advise on an acquisition or a sale elsewhere, we act solely for you — compensated by a pre-agreed advisory fee or commission, never by an undisclosed margin on the other side of the trade.
Advisory engagements are structured as a flat project fee or a percentage of the transaction, agreed in writing at the brief stage. Valuation work is billed separately.
