Once Upon a Time, 2015

Referring of course to the famous opening line of countless fairy tales, Once Upon a Time draws the sympathies to the loveable rabbit, dead and displayed for observation in a glass jar. As beautiful as the creature is, death is in fact an inevitable part of life for all living things. While this certainty is often sterilized by Western culture as something out of the ordinary and necessarily terrible, it is something that must be confronted both in life and in art.
