In this work, Wright drapes a fox hide – much like one that would be worn as a luxurious, if not somewhat gruesome, scarf, as if it is a beloved house pet. This duplicitous interpretation of pet versus clothing item, drawing attention to the varying ways animals, that can be either adored or hunted, are treated.
