Nir Hod

For Opulent Landscapes, Nir Hod’s skyscape painting is inspired by French romantic artist Théodore Géricault’s The Raft of the Medusa, along with the Arab Spring, a time of revolution and political events that began in 2010 in Tunisia. Presenting recurring themes of introspection and longing, Hod also incorporates the idea of complexity between peace and fragility here. Painting his sky piece in a chrome finish, to showcase the way we see and reflect on events today, Hod seeks to remind us about the fragility of life and to find peace in every moment. Nir will present one painting from his most recent series on the occasion of the exhibition.
